Automated Tool for Brake Squeal Analysis

Summary

Brake squeal analysis is a difficult process to set-up because selecting proper solver parameters and boundary conditions is complex. For that reason, an automation tool has been developed to mesh, set contacts, set constraints, define the non-linear and complex eigenvalue analysis parameters, and apply a gradual pressure load. The key benefit of this tool is that it helps a non-specialist quickly find unstable modes in the brake system design without prior knowledge of complicated CAE tools.
