Summary

Since fuel cell coolant (FC coolant) should have insulating properties for the purpose of electric leakage prevention, ion-exchange resin is used in the system to remove ions from the coolant. An antioxidant appropriate for FC coolant was formulated for the developed coolant, thereby enhancing oxidation resistance and reducing the generated ion content. This enabled a 40% reduction in the amount of ion-exchange resin.
