The 69th JSAE Awards (2019) The Asahara Science Award

The Asahara Science Award of the 69th JSAE Awards (2019) was awarded to Yoshiyuki Nakazawa of Automobile Center, Honda R&D Co., Ltd., for the paper “Large Improvement in Magnetic Properties of Hot-Deformed HREE-Free Nd-Fe-B Magnets Using the Rapid Heating Technique of the Powder.”


The JSAE Awards were established in 1951 with the aim to encourage enhancement and development of automotive engineering and technology. Since their inception, the awards have attracted attention as representative awards of the automotive technology field and of the JSAE, and the winners are held in very high regard for their achievements.


The Asahara Science Award is given to an individual under the age of 37, as of March 31st, 2019, who has demonstrated potential and up-and-coming talent through a paper, presentation, etc.
